The Secretariat of the Mano River Union announces with profound sadness the death of its former Deputy Secretary General , Rev Mrs. Linda Koroma. This sad event took place on Monday May 25th 2020 at 34 Military hospital in Freetown, Sierra Leone
The Late Rev. Mrs. Linda Koroma served the Mano River Union Secretariat from 2010 to 2017, as Deputy Secretary General, in charge of Peace and Security and Social Development.
With her death, the Republic of Sierra Leone, and the sub region has lost a dedicated International public servant of great repute and personal integrity who proudly represented her country and the sub regional organization at various fora world wide as distinguished international civil servant. The high standard of professional competency she exuded in service of country and the MRU will remain indelible in the minds of all who knew her and admired her smiles, gentleness of approach and deep commitment to duty and service to God and mankind in search of peace, justice and tolerance
She was a source of strength and a dependable pillar to her family, her church and her various communities of women leaders and friends. The many organizations and religious affiliations and individuals whose lives she mentored and impacted will remember her journey on earth and time spent with each and every one.
Although she had since left the Mano River Union Secretariat in 2017 she remained in constant communication and did not hesitate to offer advice to the Secretary General and the Secretariat any time she was requested.
