On the solemn occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Republic of Guinea’s accession to international sovereignty, the Mano River Union Secretariat, on behalf of all Member States, its leadership and its staff, extends its warmest wishes and sincere congratulations to His Excellency the President of the Republic, to the Government, and to the people of Guinea.<\/p>\n
This historic day, 2 October, strongly recalls Guinea’s courage, determination and pioneering leadership in the pursuit of freedom and dignity on the African continent.<\/p>\n
As a pillar Member State of the Mano River Union, Guinea continues to play a leading role in promoting peace, political stability and economic integration within our sub-region. The Mano River Union Secretariat takes this solemn opportunity to commend and highlight the Guinean Government’s steady commitment to the ideals of solidarity, notably through strengthening border security and implementing shared integration infrastructure projects, which are essential to the sustainable development of our nations.<\/p>\n
The Mano River Union Secretariat reaffirms its full readiness to work tirelessly alongside the Republic of Guinea to meet these common challenges, consolidate regional integration and realise the aspirations of prosperity of our respective peoples.<\/p>\n
May this day of celebration strengthen national unity, harmony and prosperity in the Republic of Guinea.<\/p>\n
